Coliprev is an enzymatic lactase supplement designed for infants from birth. It can be used in both formula and breastfeeding cases. Coliprev should be used whenever feeding your baby during the first 3-4 months of age, when enough lactase enzyme is produced to act on lactose. After this period, Coliprev should be gradually withdrawn. It is suggested to start by reducing the recommended dose per meal by half, and then alternating between meals until reducing to once a day before completely withdrawing. If colic persists during the period when Coliprev is being removed from the infant's diet, it is advised to return to the initial scheme.
With Breast Milk: Try to put 3 to 4 tablespoons of breast milk in a previously sterilized container. Add 8 drops of Coliprev. Give this preparation to your baby with a sterilized teaspoon before starting breastfeeding. Continue breastfeeding normally. With Infant Formula (Milk): Carefully prepare the formula according to the manufacturer's instructions. Add 8 drops of Coliprev to the prepared bottle, making sure it is at the recommended temperature and not too hot. Wait about an hour and stir the mixture occasionally before giving it to your baby, always checking if the milk is at the ideal temperature. Discard any unused preparation.
