Emoflon 25g - Rectal Ointment

Rectal ointment based on sucralfate, to which extracts of plants and lubricating agents are added, for the treatment of symptoms associated with hemorrhoidal disease and its complications (e.g. eczema, anal fissure). Sucralfate provides a triple action: it protects the anal mucosa, relieves itching and inflammation, regenerates and heals wounds, also reducing the risk of fissures and lesions caused by defecation.

Emoflon should be applied to the periphery of the anus, after defecation or sitz bath, or inside the rectum (small portion, the size of a pea) using the applicator. Make sure that the tube and applicator are properly screwed together. Emoflon® is a Class IIa medical device, manufactured by Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC (CE2409):

• Read the User Instructions carefully before use;

• Emoflon® is intended for the treatment of symptoms associated with hemorrhoidal disease and its complications (e.g. eczema, fissures);

• Seek advice from your pharmacist. Consult a doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 1-2 weeks;

• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to lanolin or other ingredients in this product. Do not use on bleeding hemorrhoids;

• The use of Emoflon® rectal ointment is not contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding; however, in these cases, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Emoflon can be used for 4 weeks without interruption.

Sucralfate, cocoa butter, lanolin (of vegetable origin), white vaseline, white wax (from bees), purified water, caprylyl glycol, calendula extract, chamomile extract, hamamelis leaf extract (Hamamelis virginiana).

Keep out of sight and reach of children. The expiration date is indicated on the packaging and on the tube. The expiration date and batch number are indicated on the fold of the tube. Do not use the ointment after the expiration date. The expiration date refers to the last day of the month indicated. Do not store Emoflon above 25ºC. Keep away from direct sunlight.
